Top Tech Publicity Guidelines and Logo Licensing

Congratulations on your inclusion in Construction Executive’s Top Tech™ list. Get the recognition you deserve by licensing CE’s Top Tech logo for use on your website and other promotional endeavors. The guidelines below provide you with the information to help you publicly showcase your accomplishment.

GENERAL RULES

  • You are permitted to mention in promotion, press releases and advertisements that you are recognized by Construction Executive in the “CE Top Tech” list but not to suggest that being included in the CE Top Tech list guarantees a desired result.
  • Construction Executive’s trademark CE Top Tech is restricted to text mentions only and may not be visually manipulated in any way without the express written permission of Construction Executive.
  • Do not include any language the viewer may misconstrue as the listed Top Tech Firm being more skilled than Tech Firms who were not included in the list.
  • The trademark symbol (™) must be included in the first mention of CE Top Tech. All following mentions of CE Top Tech in the same document do not need to include the trademark symbol.
  • When publicizing the CE Top Tech list online, a hyperlink to the article once published is required.

APPROVED LANGUAGE FOR PRESS RELEASES

Now in its 23rd year of publication, Construction Executive is the leading trade magazine about the business of construction. Published in its Sept./Oct. 2025 issue, the CE Top Tech list was developed by asking hundreds of firms that provide technology and software solutions for the construction industry to complete a nomination form. The information collected included: 1) the firm’s product offerings specific to the AEC industry; 2) the user profile (type and size of firm for which each product is recommended); 3) how each product is sold (by seat, user, license and/or project, etc.); and 4) the number of active users within the past 12 months (by individual users and/or companies). There was no fee to participate and not every firm that completed the nomination form made this curated list. After carefully scrutinizing the data collected, the 2025 list of the CE Top Tech was developed. For more information, contact surveys@magazinexperts.com. Note: Some technology firms that did not submit the nomination form by the deadline were included for the sake of completeness.

CE TOP TECH LOGO USAGE GUIDELINES

Under no circumstances may the CE Top Tech logo be used in any manner whatsoever without purchase of a license.

To be eligible to purchase a license to use the CE Top Tech, the Tech Firm must appear in Construction Executive’s official corresponding listing for that year.

The CE Top Tech logo shall only be used in the form and colors provided, without modifications or alterations, and must include the listing year. Such logo(s) may not be used in a way that would reflect poorly on Construction Executive or in any manner that would imply an endorsement by the Publisher.

Permission for use of the CE Top Tech logo begins after the press embargo date. The logo may be used indefinitely provided that it has not been altered in any way and includes the ranking year.

The CE Top Tech logo shall only be used by the Firm named list, and may not be used by any parent, subsidiary, related, or affiliated institutions.

If Licensee uses the CE Top Tech logo on its website, the CE Top Tech logo must link to the corresponding ranking page on the Construction Executive website (https://ConstructionExec.com) or such other web page designated by Construction Executive.

Construction Executive reserves the right to reproduce and display your Firm’s creative to demonstrate the use of the logo.

APPROVED LOGO USAGE

Upon purchase of a logo license, the CE Top Tech logo may only be used in the following ways:

  • Listed Firm’s website
  • Footer of email messages
  • Email must originate from individual employees at the listed Firm
  • Print or online marketing
  • Press releases
  • Marketing brochures
  • Social media websites
  • Social media posts
  • Marketing brochures
  • Business cards

When publicizing the CE Top Tech list online, a hyperlink to the article once published is required.

FORBIDDEN LOGO USAGE

The CE Top Tech logo may NOT be used in the following ways:

  • Any item resembling a plaque or award or certificate. The CE Top Tech award merchandise must be purchased directly through Construction Executive’s designated vendor, MagazineXperts LLC.
  • In any manner or with any accompanying language that the viewer may misconstrue as the listed Tech Firm being more skilled than Tech Firms that are not listed in the publication.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

Construction Executive will monitor mentions and relevant advertising to ensure that usage or its trademarked or copyrighted materials complies with these guidelines. If any usage is found not to comply with the guidelines, Construction Executive will inform the Tech Firm and request that the inappropriate advertising be brought into compliance. If timely and appropriate efforts are not made by the Firm to bring the non-compliant advertising into compliance with the guidelines, Construction Executive may temporarily suspend or permanently exclude the Tech Firm from any or all future listings and publications, and take appropriate action to ensure that its trademarks and copyrights are not infringed.

Construction Executive does not assume, and hereby expressly disclaims, any liability to any person or entity for any loss or damage claimed to arise from the failure by any Tech Firm using CE Top Tech materials of any kind to comply with these guidelines.

Under no circumstances may the CE Top Tech logo, or any other creative from Construction Executive, be used without the express written permission of Construction Executive.

These guidelines are subject to change without notice, and Construction Executive may withdraw or change these guidelines at any time and for any reason.

PLEASE NOTE that in consideration for the limited use of the marks Construction Executive and CE Top Tech in connection with publicity or other advertising, all listed Tech Firms expressly agree to abide by the terms and conditions of these guidelines.

Failure to comply with any or all of these guidelines may result in temporary or permanent revocation of usage of the CE Top Tech trademark and logo, civil liability for misappropriation or trademark infringement, and/or report to the appropriate lawyer disciplinary authorities.

Construction Executive has used its best efforts in assembling material for inclusion in the CE Top Tech list, but does not warrant that the information contained therein is complete or accurate, and does not assume, and hereby disclaims, any liability to any person for any loss or damage caused by errors or omissions in CE Top Tech whether such errors or omissions result from negligence, accident, or any other cause.
